PVP Strike Team
Map Tuning Updates
- Coming in March 5th update
- Additional spawn quality improvements, including spawn traps
- Removing backfield spawns for non-Rift modes to increase engagement
- Tuning of initial spawns, ammo crates, and tiebreaker locations
- Additional tools being added for these types of changes to be made quicker
Map Pack
- Releasing in May
- Eventide Labs (Europa)
- Cirrus Plaza (Neomuna)
- Dissonance (Terraformed Pyramid Ship)
Comp Rewards
- Coming in March 5th update
- Artiface armor being added to Competitive crucible
- Will be a drop for the 3rd tier of weekly challenge matches
- After completing each weekly challenge, artiface armor has chance to drop
- Exotic Weapon catalysts also now have an increased chance of dropping during Comp matches
Trials Rewards
- Coming in March 5th update
- Passage of Ferocity losses now reset the card to 3 wins if player hasn't gone flawless
- Passage of Persistence is a card where losses remove wins instead of flawing the card
- Only the most recent win on Persistence can be removed, allowing players to eventually get to 7 wins
- Getting 7 wins on persistence guarantees an Adept weapon drop, but player cannot visit Lighthouse to get other Flawless rewards unless they actually went 7-0
- Playing as a 3 person fireteam now grants you additional 50% change at getting a non-Adept roll weapon and a Trials Engram, as well as additional reputation
Game Modes
- Coming in March 5th update
- 3v3 Clash heavy no longer shared, respawn timer raise from 5s to 7s, and match timer increased to 10min (also being added to 3v3 quick play)
- Crucible labs getting new 3v3 king of the hill mode called Collision
- This mode will be similar to COD hard point, and test out a new Special Ammo crate system
- For Iron Banner Tribute: Hunts now trigger at a scoring threshold, max crest wall hacks removed, UI for mode being updated, and reduced number of turrets that spawn from 4 to 3
Game Modes pt 2
- Coming in a later update
- Checkmate returns to labs with 30% ability cooldown penalty, no starting special, 3-hit melee kills, and shift in primary TTK
- New modifier in labs, Hardware, removes abilities and adds special and heavy crates to map
Game Modes pt 3
- Coming in the Final Shape
- More options for private matches
- This includes adding modifiers to matches, and more tweaks to specific game modes
Sandbox Issues
- March 5th patch adding many changes that were detailed last TWID
- Final Shape will bring changes to Super viability
- Future changes include things like improvements to killcams
Matchmaking
- Coming March 5th
- Bungie is overall happy with it, and provided a LOT of statistics
- Updates to tooltips so players are more aware which types of matchmaking a mode uses
- Changes planned to experiment with new Snake Draft lobby balancing tool
Accessibility and UI
- Center or Below Center being added to reticle location settings
- Adding controller dead zone settings
- Adding setting for adjusting radar opacity
Prophecy Dungeon Weapon Updates
- Removing Swift Verdict, The Long Walk, and The Last Breath from weapon pool
- Adding new Origin Trait, Crossing Over: First half of mag has increased range and handling, second half has increased damage
- Adding Prosecutor, Arc Precision AR
- Adding Adjudicator, Kinetic Precision SMG
- Adding Relentless, Strand High Impact Pulse
- Judgement HC is now Stasis
- Darkest Before Pulse is now Solar
- Sudden Death Shotty is now Void
- First encounter drops Relentless and Prosecutor
- Second drops Sudden Death and Adjudicator
- Third drops Judgement and Darkest Before
Known Issues
- The Closer to the Heart Seasonal Triumph is visible earlier than intended. The mission to complete this Triumph will be available later this Season.
- The Twitch Reaction Bounty may not be able to be claimed by all players.
- The Apotheosis Veil Exotic does not always trigger when using Well of Radiance.
- Overload Artifact Mods inadvertently affect Ignition damage.
